In general, the majority of the population has heard of astral projection. They may have heard of it from a reading a book, watching a movie or from an enlightened friend. However, it seems very few know that astral projection is a genuine occurrence. It is something that we can all naturally do. You may have even projected and never realize that you did so. Many people do.
First, you need to understand that astral projection is real. It is the ability of any individual to leave their body. We all have this ability, it happens as we lay sleeping during the night. While we sleep, our physical body is at rest, the subconscious mind then takes control. While this is going on an individual is astral projecting, although for the most part, they will not remember doing so.
You go wherever you want to go when you project. If you can recall your childhood you may be able to remember having the ability to do this after going to sleep, eventually you forgot, as you got older. There is no such thing as time and distance when it concerns astral projection, you can go anywhere. While you are sleeping, your physical body is asleep. Your astral body travels.
The next question is what the astral body is. It is the ethereal body. The astral body is the invisible duplicate of the body. It houses all our desires and feelings. Does the astral body leave and not return? A silver cord connects the physical and astral bodies together.
The silver cord first connects as the astral body enters the physical body. This is not exhausted until after death when the astral body leaves the physical body for the last time. This silver cord prevents the astral body from not returning.
You may wonder where you may go when you astral project. The astral body goes to the astral plane. It is the invisible double of the Earth. It has a faster vibration than the physical Earth and its vibrations penetrate to the center of the Earth. Some define it as another dimension of reality. However, the majority agree that there are many levels of the astral plane.
It is only natural at this point to question whether or not there are any dangers to astral projection. The answer is yes and no. We have established that astral projection is something everyone is capable of doing. We have also stated that there isn’t a way that the astral body can leave the physical body and not come back. But as with anything you do, you need to keep your head about you. This means that you need to make sure you have solid thinking skills so that you are going where you want and you know what you want.
You can find danger if your mind is not sound when you astral project. Therefore, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol can find themselves in a crisis. These may be the lower levels of the astral plane.
The key to astral projection involves knowing what it is you are doing and where you want to go while doing it. You must have complete control of what your astral body may be doing, since your thoughts control your projection experiences.
If you prepare yourself properly beforehand you can find yourself able to astral project very quickly. There are a number of professionals in the field of astral projection that teach different techniques to help a person gain that control and have a better experience, though most prefer to astral project on their own at home.
You can find various other resources such as books online. For instance, you can create the right state of mind by listening to quality astral projection hypnosis recordings. It will help you relax and walk you through the various stages. This is beneficial since you can continue playing the recording repeatedly until your subconscious mind picks up the message that it is all right for you to leave your body.
Binaural beats is the most recent of astonishing sound technology advances. It plays slightly different tones of sound frequencies in the ears simultaneously. This works well for inducing relaxation and the deep state of meditation rather quickly. This is fundamental for the success of astral projection.
You should not become frustrated when you are not successful at astral projection when you first begin. You must practice the art to perfect it. It is not something you must acquire, since we are all capable of doing it. However, you need to fine-tune your natural ability since you have forgotten it.
Still not convinced? When was the last time you dreamt of flying or felt as though you were falling? The flying was the astral body moving through the astral planes. The falling sensation came when you noticed that astral body coming back to the physical body. Astral projection is real! Anyone can do it and benefit from it, if they take the time to fine tune their natural ability.
Astral Travel – The Truth Will Set You Free!

Think back to the last time you had one of those dreams where you’re flying and you’ll be able to get a sense of what astral travel is like. When your astral body is exploring, this is how it makes its way around. It’s like flying, but you can be anywhere you want to be instantly; all you have to do is to focus on it. While your physical body and your mind are at rest, your astral body is free to set off and allow you to experience astral travel.
Although we may astral travel while we are asleep, it should not be mistaken for dreaming. Dreaming is quite different, since it happens entirely within your brain as it goes over what has happened that day, placing things into context and allowing you to get past them and awake rested the next day. Your dreams may or may not be remembered after you awake, which is an important difference between astral travel and dreaming.
When you remember your dreams in every vivid detail, these are most likely not dreams at all but were experiences with astral travel. It’s a good idea to get into the habit of keeping a journal of these experiences. The things you write down may not make much sense at first, but over time will form a contextual background which makes their meaning clear.
Astral dreams are psychically beneficial, much as dreams are in helping your mind to process the things which happen in your day. Everyone has different astral travel experiences and the benefits are also unique to each individual. This makes it especially important to keep a record of your experiences; comparing them to another’s experiences is much like comparing apples to oranges and is largely a useless exercise.
One of the benefits of astral travel common to everyone who practices this ability is an increased sense of self awareness and a better idea of where you fit into the rest of the universe. This helps you have inner peace and enhances your sense of well being. Memory and general mental acuity are also commonly improved by astral travel due to normally unused parts of your mind being accessed as you astral project.
After learning to astral travel, other latent psychic abilities will begin to awaken and be strengthened. Most people report having an increased awareness of others thoughts and an easier time sensing spiritual presences.
Astral travel lets you see things and go places you never would be able to otherwise; including inside your own psyche; and the reward is that psychic abilities and mental acuity begin to bloom.
There are many who had once been skeptical about astral travel; but once experiencing it for themselves, they have a different take on things. The way that astral travel expands your view of the universe and increases many of your natural abilities is simply impossible to ignore.
Of course, astral travel can also be fun. You can think of it as sending your astral body on a mini-vacation, taking in the sights of exotic, far off places and returning relaxed and ready to help you live a better life.
The most surprising thing about astral travel is that it isn’t done by everybody. The reason that it isn’t more widely practiced is that there is a widely held misconception that only a select few are able to astral project. This however is not the case as anyone can learn to astral travel if they want to.
We have all experienced astral travel before, whether or not we are aware of having done so.
You should begin by simply allowing yourself to naturally have astral travel and writing down your experiences. After doing this for a while, you’ll be able to begin trying to make astral travel happen consciously. It takes practice, but the benefits of learning to do so, as well as the experience itself are a great reward for your efforts.
We can all learn to astral travel; it’s simply a matter of practice and training yourself for the experiences. You can find a wealth of good resources which can help you to prepare yourself for astral travel. Keep at your practice and you can achieve the inner peace which comes from being able to travel outside of; and within yourself.
